Port of Split customers (passengers, shippers, agents, concessionaires and all other physical and legal persons) have available dock area supplied for smooth traffic operations which, due to its exceptional geographic and maritime significance, has been granted the status of the port of national importance for the Republic of Croatia.

In accordance with international conventions, special attention is paid to the safety of the port area open to international traffic. Special security measures and protocols have been introduced in accordance with the Port Security Plan.
