Users of the Port of Split — passengers, shipowners, agents, concession holders and all other natural and legal persons — have at their disposal a port area equipped for the smooth flow of traffic.
Owing to its exceptional geographical and maritime importance, the Port of Split has the status of a port of national importance to the Republic of Croatia. In line with international conventions, particular attention is paid to the security of the port area open to international traffic, with special security measures and protocols in accordance with the Port Security Plan.
