ADRIJO — the virtual museum of Adriatic ports.
Under the REMEMBER project (Restoring the Memory of Adriatic Ports Sites), funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia 2014–2020 programme, a Memorandum of Understanding on the creation of a cultural network of Adriatic ports was signed in May 2019. Its aim is the joint promotion and valorisation of the tangible and intangible heritage of eight Italian and Croatian ports — Ancona, Venice, Ravenna, Trieste, Rijeka, Dubrovnik, Zadar and Split. The main result of this cooperation is the ADRIJO network on the www.adrijo.eu platform.
On the ADRIJO platform, the Port of Split is presented through a narrative video guided by an audio story about the history of the port and the port today, a 360° virtual tour (terminals, the ferry and fishing ports, the Prokurative, the waterfront promenade and Diocletian's Palace), and image galleries with descriptions of the historic and modern parts of the port.
ADRIJO is an innovative and accessible tool that brings together the virtual museums of the eight ports involved in the project and promotes the relationship between port and city, as well as the valorisation of the culture, stories and knowledge of each port.
The Port of Split is presented through a narrative video, a 360° virtual tour and galleries describing the history of the port.
